How exactly is he eligible?

Michael Rothenberg has qualified to run for Superior Court Judge in the Stone Mountain Circuit against Judge Gail Flake.
Rothenberg graduated from law school in 2002 and was admitted to the Bar on November 10, 2002.
You have to be a practicing attorney for seven years to be qualified to run for Superior Court.
What’s up with that?
