New foremat is designed for reading front page, commenting without editing and getting emails of new posts which, more like an on line column, limits discussion or follow up of topic by readers.

    • SallyForth says:

Salty, I’m glad I’m not the only one to run into problems with the new format. I still haven’t figured out how to start the open thread on Morning Reads — if you guys weren’t on here, it would still be just an online column. And not being able to correct my screw-ups is a challenge. Icharus, is there more tweaking to come?

  2. Noway says:

“Banning guns in some Georgia cities is too costly.” As it should be. Constitutional Carry all the way.

    • blakeage80 says:

Yeah. I thought this article is a good example of why people need to stay engaged locally. Just because a local government hasn’t infringed on your gun rights yet, doesn’t mean they aren’t trying.

  3. Ed says:

I say this as someone who appreciates the history of Atlanta and thinks we have some gorgeous old architecture that we should make every effort to preserve but… Bobby Jones is not a good golf course and the clubhouse is a dump.

So there’s history to the course–will it be diminished if there’s a nine-hole course? No, and if that’s the condition we want to leave our monuments. Well.

  4. Noway says:

Don’t you love all of the college leeches demanding free tuition and the forgiving of all of their student loans? Gotta love that character and work ethic!

    • saltycracker says:

Just so much going on to dumb down and encourage debt, student loans, home loans…..favorite today was the class action law suits on department store sales – how do customers know if the $60 shirt at Kohl’s is a good deal at $10 unless our legislators set the rules ?

      • saltycracker says:

But maybe the students can press/protest for more state AG’s to consider suing the power companies for global warming or they will become postal workers for Sanders or join the Clinton Foundation (those emails are personal). The fun is only beginning, invest in popcorn.
