Georgia Dems stay the course, re-elect Porter

Georgia Democrats re-elected former state lawmaker DuBose Porter as party chairman on Saturday.

WSB Radio is reporting that Porter defeated Rockdale County Tax Commissioner R.J. Hadley by a vote of 141 to 92.

Porter told delegates the party is financially sound and “a model of how to turn a party around.”

Yeah, put the inmates in charge of the asylum. Oh wait, it looks like that already happened. Chaos reins in the party, and voters know it.

As long as the GA Democrats stay in thrall to people like Sen. Vincent Fort and ignore the advice of leaders like Mayor Kasim Reed, they will continue to “stay the course,” i.e., give away elections they could have won, like the state superintendent race, and remain dependent on money from out of state to promote their losing cause instead of winning votes from Independents, Libertarians, and disenchanted Dems like me…but at least they will be #TrueDemocrats.
