I tell you, watching US House gopers is more fun than eating chocolate pudding. Just in the first three weeks they’ve given us the Gohmert insurgency, wild talk about the best way to toss out DREAMers, the diplomatic end-run to bag Netanyahu, and yesterday the fumble of their newest meaningless abortion messaging effort.

A lesser group would have passed the bill handily, not surprising given the practice they’ve had passing billboards posing as legislation, but they took an audacious new approach, failing to pass a meaningless bill instead of actually passing one, thus antagonizing their friends as well as their enemies. Is that big tent or what?
