Illinois extends marijuana experiment to children

“(Marijuana oil is) heavy in a compound called CBD and low in THC, the ingredient that gets people high. It hasn’t been tested in clinical trials for effectiveness or safety, but it will be legal in Illinois under a law that took effect Thursday.”

There’s still little or no evidence that this treatment will improve kids’ health. It’s telling to me that “families who moved to Colorado to use the drug were three times more likely to report improvement than families already living in the state”, which screams placebo affect.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong here, but isn’t THC the compound that eases the nausea that is concerning for those undergoing cancer treatment?

        • xdog says:

THC is available in pill form for nausea and pain relief, although some people feel they get better results by smoking.
