That Kasim Reed Fundraiser for Jason Carter

September 24, is when Kasim Reed holds his non-endorsement, “supporting” fundraiser for Jason Carter that is “more than Jason Carter ever did for [the mayor].”

If you are so inclined to show your friendship toward Sen. Carter and his campaign, you’d better be prepared to cough up $1k–that’s the minimum for anyone over 40.

For your contribution, you get to converse with Sen. Carter and Music Midtown co-founder Peter Conlon while enjoying Conlon’s “world class art collection.”

The invite is below the fold.

Regardless of the beneficiary, it’s hard for me to see this as anything more than a waste of four figures to hang out with a bunch of phonies. Some of the art may be interesting, even if those present and talking about it are not, but as someone who’s been to many art openings (with free booze), this just looks repelling.
