Most recently, he worked diligently as a Senate negotiator to reach a bipartisan, bicameral agreement on the Veterans’ Access to Care through Choice, Accountability, and Transparency Act of 2014 that will improve care for veterans at VA health care facilities across the country.

In the Senate, Isakson has taken an active role in helping shine a light on the VA’s problems, including holding a Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee hearing at the Atlanta VA health care facility in August 2013.
