There’s a true sense of wonder and excitement in the streets of Atlanta this week. That’s because KISS will be here soon.

“You Matter to Me” by Peter ‘Catman’ Criss… He will not be performing on Friday, however.

CFA about to break ground on their first Connecticut location.

I spent about 5-6 months working as a contractor in Downtown ATL on a job involving the Resolution Trust Corp (remember them?…can you say “S&L collapse”? I knew ya’ could) and working with audit managers from the Stamford, CT, office of one of the then-Big 8 firms. One of the managers had never heard of Chick-Fil-A and I got to witness her indoctrination. She was in awe. I mean, craving-CFA-every-damn-day kind of awe. She kept commenting how a CFA back in Connecticut would be the greatest thing ever and she couldn’t wait for them to open one.

That was 1991. :>) Enjoy, Liz!

Rupert Murdoch wants to buy Time Warner for the paltry sum of $80b. Who knows how that would impact Turner.

For those concerned about good ol boys running everything, I give you British PM David Cameron and his pre-election move – ‘Pale, Stale Males’ targeted during UK administration shuffle – http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/world/cabinet-shuffle-in-britain-culls-the-male-pale-and-stale/article19628249/

gopers get all the fun. First they invent scandals, then they spend forever obsessing about them. ‘Never forget, never learn’–they oughta put it in the platform, somewhere between supporting unfunded tax cuts and shutting down the IRS.

So you think Obam can just change legislation by executive order without court review?

xdog July 16, 2014 at 11:37 am

Of course. How else can the Kenyan usurper be expected to carry out his agenda to enslave America?

Ed July 16, 2014 at 11:51 am

Dude, come on, no one thinks he wants to enslave us. He just wants to be a semi-benevolent dictator for life.

Deflect much?

What KIϟϟ surprises are people hoping for on Friday????

xdog July 16, 2014 at 10:47 am

That they do a Ramones tribute followed by Gene Simmons driving a few golf balls into the crowd.

One of my friends surprised me with some back stage passes for the Lakewood show on Friday.

I’m going to try to get some investment tips from Gene, I think he is one of the top 10 richest musicians.

Ed July 16, 2014 at 12:15 pm

I suggest investing one of those passes in Peach Pundit. Guaranteed dividends.

MattMD July 16, 2014 at 2:03 pm

If I am able to pull it off can you get me a spot on 640AM?

Ed July 16, 2014 at 2:09 pm

Yes, just call 404.367.9478 they will take care of the rest.

MattMD July 16, 2014 at 4:17 pm

Should I drink heavily beforehand?

Rep. Lewis says, “Our Doors are Open”!

Wonder how his constituents feel about it.

It would be quite appropriate if the Kasim Reed 100 million dollar trolley folly route passed by the new 58 million dollar GSU “showplace” law school building.

MattMD July 16, 2014 at 12:08 pm

Don’t we have enough damn lawyers in this state?

gcp July 16, 2014 at 12:20 pm

Yes, too many and we don’t need to spend 58 million on a building to “educate” more of them even if five million is private money.

Man, I’m glad you have a Google alert for Jacques Pepin. That’s some quality morning reading.

Ed July 16, 2014 at 12:29 pm

1) More than slightly offended you don’t think I would actively seek out Jacques Pepin news.
2) I’m friends with the LA Times food editor.

His collaborations with Julia Child were gold……GOLD, Jerry!

The only honest (faux) candidate – Gil Fulbright / Mamouf-Wifarts – http://honestgil.com/

I don’t think he has received a Palin endorsement yet, but it can’t be too long before she jumps in.

This glorious weather today is what it is like on the West Coast all summer long.

‘Bama to play the Real USC in 2016. That means the Trojans will play in 2016: ND, UCLA, ASU, Oregon, Stanford, Bama and Washington.

Gonna say they have 16’s hardest schedule.

Thanks for the news, Ed.
