#Snowjam Recovery Cost a Cool $53 Million

Remember that time a couple of inches of ice shut down Atlanta for days? And then we had to abandon the city two weeks later?

Chris Riley, Gov. Nathan Deal’s chief of staff told The Atlanta Journal Constitution  that it cost $53 million to clean up the fiasco.

The best part? After having to endure merciless mockery from yankees about our unpreparedness and inability to handle the cold, they chipped in $39 million toward the recovery costs.

Longtime Atlanta residents will tell you that Snowjam ’82 was better than #Snowjam2014.
