Tonight (Wednesday, July 9th) we’re going to bring you a discussion between five panelists on what immigration reform should look like.  The discussion began here a few weeks ago, and as a Peach Pundit First, we’re going to bring the discussion out from behind the keyboard and attempt a civil discussion on where we are, what problems we currently face with the status quo, and on what consensus solutions are available to move forward.

The panel consists of:

Jorge Fernandez, VP Global Commerce, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce

Maria Cortes, Certified Court Interpreter for the Doraville Municipal Court

Elaine Boyer, DeKalb County Commissioner, and

Will Kremer, Chairman, Georgia Association of College Republicans

And will be moderated by me.

Please note this will not be a town hall format.  We’ll have a discussion from 7-8pm, then adjourn to a nearby restaurant for a Peach Pundit “road show” – our typical environment where members of our community may talk one on one rather than be held hostage by speeches cloaked as questions.

Details: The event will be held in the auditorium of the Gwinnett County Justice and Administration Center at 7pm this Wednesday July 9th. 75 Langley Drive, Lawerenceville GA 30046.   Road show location/details for after the forum can be found here.

How did it go? Did one faction or other seize the floor and set the agenda, or was it all sweetness and light?
