Deal Asks For Votes at Grilling with the Governor

Grilling-withthe-Governor-224Several hundred people made their way to the shores of Lake Lanier on Saturday for the 2014 edition of Grilling with the Governor. Typically held in late summer, this year’s event was timed to coincide with Tuesday’s Primary Election.

Introduced by Senator Johnny Isakson, Governor Deal delivered what has become a stump speech, touching on his efforts to create jobs in the Peach State, education reform, especially in the increase of work-ready programs in the state’s technical colleges, and the legislation passed over the past few years to reform criminal justice in Georgia.

Although the event was designed to get out the vote for Governor Deal, numerous other politicians were in attendance, including Senate candidates Paul Broun, Karen Handel and Jack Kingston. Others in attendance included Congressmen Doug Collins and Rob Woodall, Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black, and numerous state representatives, state senators and candidates.

I took some additional pictures at the event, which you can find here.
