Congratulations are in order for the leadership and members of the Atlanta Young Republicans. They were named “National YR Large Club of the Year” making it the second time in three years that they have received the honor:

In Washington, D.C., on Saturday, the Young Republican National Federation named your Atlanta Young Republicans the 2014 Large Club of the Year.  The national award is AYR’s second in the past three years.

Congratulations!  Thank you for making AYR such a fantastic group of conservatives in their 20s and 30s.  We have a great time together, gather to be better informed about the issues facing our nation and Georgia, and work to elect great Republicans to office.

They have demonstrated their effectiveness through the events that they host, most recently the House District 54, and have earned the respect and recognition from their peers on the national level.

Congratulations, y’all.

Congrats, YRs! You may not know that the Fulton County YRs received the similar award in 1966 for work in the Bo Callaway campaign for Governor. We were the largest YR club in the US, at a time when the Dems controlled everything. In part due to the fact that we did TGIF keg parties/cocktail parties at Colonial Homes etc when there were no bars in the Buckhead area.
