Cumulus Media, with headquarters in Atlanta, is a joke. Their ownership and management has a leftist agenda and in the process of trying to fulfill said agenda has managed to accomplish a “stunning ratings nosedive”.

xdog April 4, 2014 at 12:06 pm

Well, if breitbart runs it, it has to be true. All I know is that Cumulus programs lousy radio. But wait, here’s something interesting–a lot of their financing came from noted lefty groups like Bain and Blackstone.

Harry April 4, 2014 at 12:11 pm

You know, Bain and Blackstone are are establishment mainstream left because that’s what they need to be in order to make money.

xdog April 4, 2014 at 12:56 pm

Ah, that explains it. All the investment opportunities are on the left.

Harry April 4, 2014 at 5:33 pm

Nope, all the political and media influence is on the establishment left. PR is everything when you’re dealing at that level.

Georgia tax credit scholarships targeted by lawsuit. I approve.

Harry April 4, 2014 at 12:19 pm

These tax credit scholarships allow motivated students from bad school catchments to go to private schools and get an education. The real reason the plaintiffs don’t like these scholarships is because of private schools advocacy of religion and family values.

xdog April 4, 2014 at 1:30 pm

Not all private schools advocate the family values you hold dear. There are of course different kinds of families in this world.

Putting aside the legitimacy of the suit, it seems to me there is room to game the system. You and I give to the same school and our kids receive scholarships. We each get a Georgia tax credit, a charitable deduction on our federal return, and reduced tuition. Win/win/win.

If you’re interested, here’s a listing of participating schools.

Liberals ignore Islam’s war on women

Harry April 4, 2014 at 12:43 pm

Sorry…please excuse or delete the double posting. My apologies.

Will Durant April 4, 2014 at 9:19 pm

Liberals did not start the alliances with the Saudis and their Wahhabi brand of Islam way back when. Liberals didn’t bring on “shock and awe” to get rid of most of the million dollar cruise missiles so that the 3 million dollar ones could be justified. Liberals didn’t send billions of dollars to a duplicitous Pakistani government that used at least some of those funds to train new little Jihadists and keep Osama in hiding. Contrary to what you are told in your single track reading habits Liberals are not the boogeyman and the reason for all of the world’s ills.

Just like it was said by Voltaire that if God didn’t exist man would have created him anyway. If a boogeyman doesn’t exist then the propagandists for various entities will create one to serve their own ends. They don’t have Communism to kick around anymore so others have to be served up. The radical forms of Islam are so far removed from the ideals of those that consider themselves “Liberals” that any juxtaposition of the two is ludicrous. Even the Baptists don’t whip you for drinking or stone their women for adultery.

Contrary to what you have posted here before it really wouldn’t hurt you to broaden your reading habits.

Remember that I said it was early yet on the Governor’s race polls and we still had time for dead girls, live boys or federal grand jury indictments? While it ain’t the feds, yet, and Gov. Deal is still trying to maintain his six degrees of separation thing, this still doesn’t bode well for His Excellency:

I can’t find the longstanding Secretary of State’s absentee data anymore. The link was Will we no longer get this data from Brian Kemp because he launched a new voter registration system???
