Governor, Senate Races Still Favor GOP

The most recent edition of Larry J. Sabato’s Crystal Ball has Georgia’s two big races this fall leaning Republican.

The U.S. Senate race to replace the retiring Saxby Chambliss is considered to be “leaning Republican,” while the governor’s race is being tagged as “likely Republican.”

In the House, congressional districts 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 14 are considered safe for the GOP, while districts 2, 4, 5 and 13 are considered Democratic locks. District 12 is considered to be leaning Democrat.
