Kingston Campaign Releases New TV Ad

The Kingston for Senate campaign began running a new television ad on Thursday that attempts to overcome a potential weakness: as Georgia’s First District Congressman, Kingston held a powerful position on the House Appropriations Committee. According to a press release, the ad will run on every TV media market in Georgia.

Georgia Is Ground Zero For GOP Civil War Mixed historical metaphors aside, the Daily Beast takes a hard look at the Senate Race and concludes that US Rep. Jack Kingston is a great guy who’s going to have a tough time getting elected because he’s a great guy. “The balance in Kingston’s message reveals his dilemma, which is nearly identical to that of Republicans nationally. He needs to capture Tea Party activists’ passion, social conservatives’ electoral power and Chamber of Commerce Republicans’ money, all without running so far to the right that he becomes unelectable in November.” Worth the read.

You are absolutely right. Jack Kingston is a super nice guy. Look how super nice he is to Democrats and Obamacare.

“A lot of conservatives say, ‘Nah, let’s just step back and let this thing fall to pieces on its own.’ But I don’t think that’s always the responsible thing to do,”

“I think we need to be looking for things that improve healthcare overall for all of us. And if there is something in ObamaCare, we need to know about it.”

“While I had some criticism for the law — I believe the demand on Medicaid could overcrowd the system — I hope that Democrats would bring to the hearing some good feedback they’ve received on ObamaCare.”

Kingston can run all the goofy commercials he wants but he can’t change his big spender voting record including his vote for the most recent farm bill. Will he make the runoff? Probably so because he is a Chambliss clone and the Chambliss crowd will vote for him.

  3. Rich says:

If Kingston really knew the value of every dollar would he be spending so much on repetitive advertising? Everyone must be asking that question after the hundredth viewing.
