I’ll be joining Atlanta Magazine’s Rebecca Burns for the Congress for the New Urbanism’s Thirsty Third Thursday’s gathering tonight.  I’ll let you decided if I was hooked by “new urbanism” or “thirsty Thursday”.

Burns is an Editor for Atlanta Magazine and wrote the now infamous piece in Politico, The Day We Lost Atlanta.

I’ll be wearing my PolicyBEST hat (just figuratively as I almost never wear hats, and certainly not indoors) and will be talking about transportation options we have moving forward.

We’ll be at Steel in Midtown from 5:30 to 7:30.  Additional details can be found here.

I’ll be interested to hear what Mrs. Burns has to say about the NJ transit system’s inability to handle the recent Super Bowl crush and the implications of that for public policy.

So you like sushi. Any other reason why you chose such a swank venue?

I am a guest of the group and didn’t choose the venue.

But I will recommend the Tuna Tower.

Maybe sometime.

Any plans to do this sort of thing outside of metro Atlanta?
