Former Savannah Mayor Floyd Adams Dead at 68

The Savannah Morning News is reporting that the first black mayor of Savannah, Floyd Adams, Jr. has died. Adams was elected in 1996, and served two terms. He also served on the Savannah school board, and at one time considered running for the 12th district congressional seat.

Adams is survived by his wife and two children. Keep his family in your prayers.
