Tenth district GOP candidate Gary Gerrard has released what we believe to be the first TV ad in the race to replace Paul Broun – As if he can really be replaced.

Of course, there was this viral ad from Mike Collins featuring him doing a split between two slow moving trucks with an Enya soundtrack. But (hopefully) they didn’t spend money to put that one on TV.

Gerrard’s ad will run on cable beginning next week.

This is honestly the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

So the result of this “contract” (which even a lawyer should know is void against public policy and unenforceable) is that Gerrard will be working for free for many years. A balanced budget will probably never pass our dysfunctional Congrress. Government by continuing resolution is the new normal.
