Tolls End on Georgia 400

The last 50 cents has been paid on Georgia 400, keeping Governor Deal’s promise to end the tolls by Thanksgiving. Charlie and Eric the Younger were there as witnesses, and here are some of their tweets documenting the occasion.

  1. View from Brookhaven says:

Celebrating the killing of dozens (?) of toll collector jobs.
How do you people sleep at night?

  2. South Fulton Guy says:

Can someone explain to me why when there is a post that are typically 1-2 posts that appear to just be links to the very same posts; are these repundits (like retweets) and what is the point?

  3. Engineer says:

7399 days, that odd number makes the OCD parts of my brain squirm Why couldn’t they have waited one day and closed on a nice even number….

  4. Scott65 says:

Im just happy that they are FINALLY about to finish the interchange with 85, but they had the money for that before they extended the tolls in the first place.
