Meet Your Candidates This Weekend

With the UGA football team not playing and the U.S. House not stuck in D.C. trying to figure out how to end the government shutdown, candidates up for election in 2014 will be out in force trying to meet voters.

We’ve received word that Congressman Jack Kingston will be making an appearance at the Cumming-Forsyth Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner tonight, beginning at 6:30 PM. The event is at the Forsyth County Conference Center on Ronald Reagan Road in Cumming.

On Saturday, all of the Senate candidates, with the exception of Derrick Grayson, will exhibit their chili making skills at the Gwinnett County Republican Party’s Republican Rumble and Chili Cookoff at Thrasher Park in Norcross. The 10th Congressional District candidates are also expected to attend.

  1. I will be at the Gwinnett GOP’s chili cookoff. I’ll have an entry in the competition: my wife’s superb chili. Come by and see me and vote for my wife’s chili!

Everybody should thank the UGA football team for taking a break (likely brief, but hey) from sucking in order for the candidates to get out there and meet potential voters.

    Thanks Georgia!

    I also heard it’s a pick’em between Bye v. Georgia.
