Atlanta City Council Post 3 Gets U.G.L.Y.

From 11Alive News: “It is not often that Atlanta City Council races get ugly.” Uhh, really? Maybe they meant “this” ugly.

Yes, the accusations have flown at incumbent Councilman Lamar Willis’ law license. Former Mayor Shirley Franklin has inserted herself into the fray. But somebody has also been busy with Andre Dickens’ record as well, to wit: DirtyDeaconAndreDickens

The strip club stuff will probably generate the most interest, even though the residency charges of living in Clayton County would be the most relevant from a campaign law point of view.

And he’s even on Twitter: @TheDirtyDeacon

Hoo-boy, this one’s going to be fun.

Ha, wow that DirtyDeacon site could not be reaching any further with some its site content. So stupid….but some of it will work I’m sure, so i guess it’s not stupid. I remain very skeptical that this will be close at all but a lot of people do listen to Shirl.

  2. Casper says:

Andre Dickens is a joke. Have anyone ever spoken to him about issues??? He can’t even speak on issues of Atlanta. I had an issues with him when I first saw him on the news and he couldn’t elaborate on his vision. I don’t agree with dirt being thrown but this recent information just lets me know that he is definitely not the right one for this city. If you have dirt at least come with some substance.

  3. saltycracker says:

Dealbreakers for public office should be disbarrment or unpaid taxes until fully repaid regardless of circumstances. So we have the bad and ugly……..waitin’ on good…..

My pals in Johns Creek tell me this is the reason they formed a new city, to elect leaders with clean hands………………..oh…………never mind…….

  4. Scarlett says:

This is all complete crap. We’ve lived in Berkeley Park (Westside) for five years and Andre Dickens and his beautiful family live 4 houses down from us, and were living here before we moved to the neighborhood. He’s a good guy and a good neighbor and he’ll make a great city councilman.
