Former DeKalb school board member Nancy Jester, who has been rumored to be mulling a challenge of state Sen. Fran Millar, is getting her own Internet radio show.
The self-described “mom with a calculator and a blog” will debut on America’s Web Radio beginning next Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 9 am, with a radio show about schools and education.
“I was interviewed by another one of their talk-show hosts and then approached about doing my own show,” Jester told Peach Pundit at Brookhaven’s Sugar Shack on Tuesday morning. Jester was hosting her regularly scheduled “coffee talk” with citizens about local education and government issues. “This is the first show they’ll be doing on schools and education.”
Jester, one of six DeKalb school board members who were suspended by Gov. Nathan Deal, also said she is “considering all of her options” when it comes to running for some sort of office, but a challenge to Sen. Millar “is not going to happen.” Jester is the only one of the suspended board members who did not file for re-instatement.
America’s Web Radio is based in Sandy Springs and has a wide variety of regular programming, from health and gardening to business and politics.
