The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged incident between state Sen. David Lucas and the grandson of District 3 Commission candidate Terry Tripp, who is running for the seat against Lucas’ wife, Macon Councilwoman Elaine Lucas, according to officials from the sheriff’s office.
According to an incident report filed by Tripp’s daughter, Kinya Miller, the incident took place at a Lucas campaign event Wednesday evening at the Lakeview Apartments clubhouse at 2800 Masseyville Road.
The incident started when Lucas’ son, Lenny Lucas, and Miller’s 16-year-old son, Chandler King, exchanged words. At some point, David Lucas allegedly grabbed the 14-year-old Chase King, around the throat area, the sheriff’s report said.
No bruises were found on the child, according to the report.
Or, as the locals say, just another day in Macon politics. Thank you Bibb County for making DeKalb County residents feel good about their life choices.
