11th District Congressional candidate State Senator Barry Loudermilk has announced his complete campaign team.
“This is a talented group of professionals with national and extensive Georgia experience,” Loudermilk said in a press release. “I am excited to have them on board as a part of my team.”

Campaign Chair: Jeff Whitmire
Before starting his own business, Jeff retired from a very successful career at Home Depot, where he served as a retail manager and purchaser. Jeff has been involved in conservative politics since working to elect President Ronald Reagan in 1980. He has had a leadership role on numerous campaigns, including US Senate, Congress, Governor, and many state and local campaigns. Jeff served on the Executive Board and County Committee of Cherokee County for fourteen years, and held positions on the 6th and 11th District board for several years. Jeff grew up in Cobb County, has been married to his high school sweetheart for twenty-eight years, and has lived in Cherokee County for over eighteen years. Jeff is also an elder at his church in Canton.
Finance Committee Chair: Bruce Thompson
Bruce Thompson has founded several successful companies over the past 20 years. In 2007, Bruce decided to launch The Thompson Group Insurance in North Georgia. In 2012, Bruce served as the Chairman of the Cartersville/Bartow County Chamber of Commerce. During his year, he led the Chamber to increase the membership by over 150 new members. Bruce resides in Cartersville, Georgia with his wife Becky and their two children.
Treasurer: Chuck Nida
Chuck has long been recognized for his professional knowledge and experience in the estate planning field, as well as for the strong relationships he has with his clients. For the past four years, he was selected as one of Atlanta Magazine’s Five Star Wealth Managers – “Best in Client Satisfaction.” Chuck has been married to Yvonne for over 32 years. He is a very proud father and grandfather and loves spending time with his family.
General Consultant: Scott Rials, RightPath Strategic Affairs, L.L.C.
Scott Rials has a background that combines extensive campaign success for nearly 20 years and has earned a solid reputation for developing, leading and executing proven, winning strategies.
Rials began his career as Field Director for Friends of Newt Gingrich and by 1997 he served as Gingrich’s Campaign Manager. Scott then moved on to take leadership roles in the GA GOP and managed regional campaign efforts with various candidates across the Southeast including Sonny Perdue’s first gubernatorial campaign. Beginning in 2006, Scott began his own political consulting venture where he continues to serve as a General Consultant to clients from the courthouse to the state house to the U.S. Congress and Presidential candidates.
Campaign Manager – Rob Adkerson
Rob has worked on successful campaigns at various levels of government. He is involved in many grassroots organizations, and holds leadership positions at local, district and state levels of the Republican Party. He is a former small business owner and resident of Bartow County. He and wife Ashley have been married for twenty-five years and have three children and one grandson.
Media Consultant: Tony Marsh, Savanna Communications
Tony Marsh is a 35-year veteran of professional political consulting. In the U.S., Marsh has served as a strategist and media consultant for dozens of corporations, committees and political campaigns including each committee of the National Republican Party and the campaigns of Ronald Reagan for President. Marsh has produced media in 47 of the 50 states. In Georgia, he’s served as advertiser for the campaigns of Lynn Westmoreland, Tom Price and Phil Gingrey.
Marsh has written for newspapers and magazines and is a guest commentator on television news and talk programs, including MSNBC, CNN, and CBS News.
Direct Mail: Ron Butler, Creative Direct
Ron Butler is President of Creative Direct, one of the most successful Republican voter contact direct mail firms in the nation. Creative Direct’s clients have included The Republican Governor’s Association, The National Republican Senatorial Committee, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Congressman Tom Graves, Governor Sonny Perdue, Senator Bob Corker, Senator John Thune, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black and more than a dozen members of the Georgia House and Senate. Prior to forming Creative Direct, Ron managed many successful campaigns, and he served for five years as Political Director for the Republican Party of Virginia and worked as Field Director for the Republican National Committee.

Katie Rials enjoyed a successful career in the corporate sector with over 17 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies and small, privately held organizations. Here, she held multiple roles in Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Technology & Leadership Training as well as Organizational & Business Development.
With a B.S. in Human Resources from Florida State University and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University, Mrs. Rials most recently served as Director of Human Capital Development for SCI Companies. In this role, she was responsible for her team’s competency, viability, expansion in the marketplace and overall financial performance of HR Business & Consulting Services nationwide.
In 2013, Katie began a Business Partnership with her husband, Scott to lend her strengths in the areas of strategic planning, communications, business acumen and financial administration as well as offering a broad scope of support for RightPath consultant and vendor partnerships.
Communications Consultant: Dan McLagan, Tactical Communications Solutions
Dan McLagan served as a spokesman and public relations strategist for some of the highest profile political candidates of the last two decades; and also fought intensive PR battles in the private sector. In Georgia, McLagan served as Communications Director for Sonny Perdue’s long-shot gubernatorial campaign in 2002, and as the Governor’s spokesman at the State Capitol from 2003 to 2007. He also served as spokesman for former Secretary of State Karen Handel’s campaign for Governor in 2010. His political clients have included four presidential candidates (Bush ’88 and ’92, Alexander ’96, and McCain 2000) Governors, U.S. Senators (including the late Paul Coverdell), as well as the National Republican Senatorial Committee, where he served as Press Secretary.
