The tip line reminds us that Darwin Carter, who in the past three years has run for Agriculture Commissioner and State House, announced he is running for Congress in the 1st Congressional District before Jack Kingston’s Senate announcement.

Darwin Carter publicly announced today he will be a Republican Candidate for the U. S. House of Representatives, First Congressional District Of Georgia.

The announcement was made at the First Congressional District GOP Convention held in Alma, Georgia. Approximately 200 Delegates And guests were present representing the 17 Counties which comprise the First Congressional District.

    Darwin Carter endorsed Tommy Irvin for Ag. Comm after he lost the Republican Primary to Gary Black. Kind of makes you wonder if he is a true Republican or just an opportunist. Just food for thought.

    Having known Darwin for forty years, I can say he is a true conservative Republican and has never endorsed Tommy Irvin or any other Democrat.
