Donna Sheldon Announces CD-10 Campaign Team

DACULA, GA — Georgia State Representative Donna Sheldon (R-Dacula) announced her campaign team today. The list includes a mix of political professionals with experience in Georgia as well as in national and even international politics.

“Georgians deserve to hear about how their government can empower them to create opportunities for themselves and their families,” Sheldon said.  “This team will help me communicate my vision that hope and opportunity, rather than dependence on government lies at the heart of the American Dream.”

Campaign Chairman: Chuck Warbington,

Chuck Warbington is a lifelong resident of Gwinnett County. He is a graduate of Dacula High School and earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. While at Georgia Tech, he was a wide receiver for the 1990 National Championship Football Team. Chuck and his wife, Stacey, a graduate of Central Gwinnett High School, have been married 16 years and have 4 children.

Chuck is a registered professional engineer having worked as a principal manager for a local Architectural/Engineering company (Pond & Company) for over 13 years. He began the leadership of Gwinnett Village in January 2006 leading the efforts in forming the largest Community Improvement District (CID) in the state in mid-2006.

Chuck has served in many capacities including board member for Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful, the Gwinnett County Tree Advisory Committee, founding board member and treasurer for the Daniel Park Homeowners Association, Executive Committee for Partnership Gwinnett, board member for the Dacula Academic Foundation, and Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2006. He is also currently serving treasurer for the Rotary Club of Gwinnett as well as Chairman of the Gwinnett County Planning Commission.

Finance Chairman: Bartow Morgan, Jr.

Bartow is the CEO of BrandBank in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  Bartow began his career in 1994 after the death of his father.  He has diligently led the bank in continued growth both financially and technologically.  Presently, he serves on the Board of Trustees of Georgia Gwinnett College, Hampden-Sydney College, The Gwinnett Children’s Shelter, Inc. and is a Director of the Buckhead Coalition.

Bartow previously served as Board Member of Georgia Ports Authority and Young President’s Organization- Southern 7 Chapter.  He is past Chair of Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and President of Northeast Georgia Community Foundation.  He also fulfilled his duties as Director of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Gwinnett County Development Authority, Gwinnett Health System, and Gwinnett Tech Foundation.

General Consultant: Scott Rials, RightPath Strategic Affairs, L.L.C.

Scott Rials has a background that combines extensive campaign success for nearly 20 years and has earned a solid reputation for developing, leading and executing proven, winning strategies.

Rials began his career as Field Director for Friends of Newt Gingrich and by 1997 he served as Gingrich’s Campaign Manager. Scott then moved on to take leadership roles in the GA GOP and managed regional campaign efforts with various candidates across the Southeast including Sonny Perdue’s first gubernatorial campaign.  Beginning in 2006, Scott began his own political consulting venture where he continues to serve as a General Consultant to clients from the courthouse to the state house to the U.S. Congress and Presidential candidates.

Finance Director: Ariail Smith/Capitol Strategy Group

The Capitol Strategy Group has assisted winning campaigns in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Texas, including the campaigns of U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss and Governor Nathan Deal, U.S. Congressman Tom Price, MD, U.S. Congressman Lynn Westmoreland, U.S. Congressman Paul Broun, MD, U.S. Congressman Tom Graves, U.S. Congressman Austin Scott and U.S. Congressman Martha Roby (Alabama). They also continue to work with current Georgia House and Senate Committee Chairmen to raise funds for their reelection efforts.

Tony Marsh is a 35-year veteran of professional political consulting.  In the U.S., Marsh has served as a strategist and media consultant for dozens of corporations, committees and political campaigns including each committee of the National Republican Party and the campaigns of Ronald Reagan for President. Marsh has produced media in 47 of the 50 states.  In Georgia, he’s served as advertiser for the campaigns of Lynn Westmoreland, Tom Price and Phil Gingrey.

Marsh has written for newspapers and magazines and is a guest commentator on television news and talk programs including MSNBC, CNN, and CBS News.

    She needs all the help she can get given her record of not being able to lead dogs with raw meat on transportation.

    The best consultants don’t always run the best campaigns. It will be fun to watch, especially as the crowd gathers.

    Is Chuck Warbington a Democrat? I know he gave money to a couple of Democrats in the recent past.
