Tim Wessinger sent out a note this morning announcing his withdrawal from the GAGOP 2nd Vice Chairman’s race:
After much prayer and with a thankful heart I write to you to inform you that I am withdrawing from the race for 2nd Vice-Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party.
Over these past few months I have traveled the state, meeting new people and hearing your ideas on how to better our Party and strengthen Georgia.
Getting to know you all has been wonderful and I thank each and every one of you for your support and hard work in my campaign.
Sometimes life closes a door in order to open another. I have chosen to withdraw from the race in order to focus on my current duties serving Georgia’s 1st Congressional District and making sure true conservatives get elected. This takes place in the primaries first which can often be more challenging than a general election.
I encourage each and every one of you, new to the Party or a long-time member, to continue to voice your ideas and stay active within our Party.
It is through you that we will grow and better our Party and show all of Georgia that the Georgia Republican Party is the best vehicle through which to spread freedom and common sense government.
I sincerely thank each and every one of you.
Tim serves as Congressman Jack Kingston’s communication’s director.
