Congressman Tom Graves To Host Senior Citizen Fair and 2 Social Security Seminars

Congressman Tom Graves will be hosting a senior citizen fair in Dalton on Tuesday, April 30th as well as two Social Security seminars in Rome and Dallas on Thursday, May 2nd.

U.S. Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) will host the 2013 Senior Citizen Fair for the 14th Congressional District in Dalton on April 30, 2013. Participating in the fair are several different organizations that provide services for seniors, ranging from local transportation authorities to specialized health care organizations.

“Georgia has many great organizations that provide care and services for seniors, and I’m thankful so many are gathering under one roof for the 2013 Senior Citizen Fair,” said Rep. Graves. “At the fair, seniors will have the opportunity to meet with a wide range of providers to learn about the great resources available in our area. My hope is that attendees make some connections that improve their lives.”

Seniors who attend the fair will have the opportunity to speak personally with many different local organizations that provide services geared toward their needs. Attendees will also be treated to free glucose, cholesterol and vision screenings, in addition to other opportunities.

U.S. Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14), in conjunction with the Social Security Administration (SSA), will host two Social Security seminars on May 2 in the communities of Dallas and Rome. At the seminars, experts from the SSA will give presentations on benefits and answer questions.

 

“My Social Security seminars will be an opportunity for constituents to meet with Social Security Administration representatives and learn more about the programs and resources available,” said Rep. Graves. “I value these events because people have the chance to cut through the red tape and speak directly with experts about questions and concerns.”

SSA experts will give presentations about retiree, disability and survivor benefits, as well as Medicare and how to utilize SSA’s online resources. There will also be a question and answer session for attendees.

I applaud these attempts to kowtow to the elderly voting block by the GOP in the name of ‘constituent services’. Because I am sure there will be NO politicking going on during this seminar!

ProTip: you got these folks locked down already with decades of truth distortions. Find some younger voters to kissass, you need them more.
