Why Dale Russell Is a Must Watch Reporter

If you don’t want Dale Russell’s reporting on TV you are missing out and behind the news instead of in front of it. This nugget at the website TV Newser explains why.

Fox News got the first national scoop on the Boston Marathon bomb photos. Why? Because Dale Russell beat the AP and everyone else to them for WAGA in Atlanta.

Dale Russell, an investigative reporter for WAGA, was the first to obtain the photos, TVSpy reports. They aired on the local Fox affiliate on the 6:30 p.m. newscast and first aired nationally at the top of Shepard Smith‘s 7pmET Fox News program.

Well done.

Big, big difference between the local affiliates and the national team. Major-metro TV reporters earn their way to the big markets with strong, accurate reporting and well-developed storytelling abilities. The national team gets drafted for ideology.
