St Baldrick’s Day – Photographic Evidence

Kudo’s to John Vestal (a/k/a Buzzfan) for raising $3,231 and his team (Team Spider Monkey) approaching $25,000 in new funds to help research cures for childhood cancer. All he had to do was shave his head.

I attended the festivities as did Bridget. I made a video of the scalping (It took less than 4 minutes) but it exceeds the file size allowed here. Hopefully the before and after pics below do it justice. If you would still like to make a contribution (yes, yes you do), please follow the links here.

Team Spider Monkey:

The only thing wrong here is that dang Tech hat.

Seriously, I will be participating in Savannah on the 23rd. Still don’t know why they’re doing their events then. Shaving my head is the equivalent of mowing the sidewalk.

  2. John Vestal says:

Shame about the video *whew* :>)

First, thanks to Charlie and Bridget (and Bridget’s friend, Andrea, a St. Baldrick’s shavee ‘alum’!) for coming by and supporting me, the team and The St. Baldrick’s Foundation in person. Very much appreciated, guys, and great to see you!

Also, thanks to everyone here on PP who has generously donated to the cause this year! Once some ‘known’ forthcoming donations and matching gifts are counted, Team Spider Monkey will end up well over $25,000 for St. Baldrick’s 2013…..and The Harp will end up well over $50K!

As Charlie mentioned, yes!…we will continue to be taking donations indefinitely here, and we’re already excited about the prospects for St. Baldrick’s 2014!
