Valentine’s Day can mean only one thing…

Wuv, twue wuv” between people. And to show their support for “Wuv, twue wuv,” the National Republican Congressional Committee is providing Congressman John Barrow (D-Athens, Augusta, Savannah, ?) with a chance to be close to the man he endorsed and voted for last year, President Barack Obama.

The NRCC has thoughtfully reserved an airline ticket for Rep. Barrow to visit Atlanta during the Presidential stop-by tomorrow. Who knew the NRCC could be so thoughtful? Here’s a copy of the ticket:

“There’s no better way for John Barrow to show his love for Barack Obama’s extreme liberal policies than with a surprise visit to campaign alongside each other in Atlanta,” said Rob Simms, NRCC Political Director. “Every kiss may begin with Kay, but this Valentine’s Day, each and every piece of Obama’s big-government agenda will begin with the help of John Barrow.”

Awww, sniff.  Doesn’t that just touch your heart?

  1. xdog says:

I guess they really don’t want Barrow to run for Senate but this juvenile stunt won’t keep him on the side if he decides he wants to dance.

  2. KD_fiscal conservative says:

Fools. The Barrow’Bama strategy didn’t work before and it wont work now. Surely, the NRCC can come up with something more original.

  3. OWilde says:

Now it looks like Barrow’s no-debate 2012 victory is about to bite him in the behind. Sources say the one man Barrow is most scared of debating, 2008 GOP Nominee John Stone, is running in 2014, and will challenge Barrow to a series of televised debates beginning the day after the primary. This is the guy Barrow said he never wanted to debate again. It will be hilarious watching Barrow trying to dodge right after raking Lee Anderson for dodging. This will be fun.

  4. James Fannin says:

Oh come on, it is funny, a little clever and draws attention to the fact that Congressman Barrow doesn’t want to be in the same state as the President let alone be seen with him in public. And I think the quick reaction from Spacey G and other Dems suggests a raw nerve has been struck. Nicely done Rob.

  5. Toxic Avenger says:

I’d take it. An $800 ticket for free? Hell, if I were him, I would thank the NRCC for providing me with a free ticket to meet with my constituents.

  6. Rick Day says:

How…thoughtful. That was actually nice of them! Maybe he will fall for it and give TMN a big hug!

Which will turn into billboards and Bible Bookmarks. Forever.

I wonder if the Red’s will be as accommodating to everyone else who disagrees with their Tears Of Sorrow™ Strategies?

*shakes head* such haters… and all because this guy won’t wear your Red label.

  7. ShiftingTides88 says:

Way to go Robb. John Barrow has been a chameleon from day 1 entering the US Congress. Google or Wikipedia the record on ALL the major issues over the past decade. The record is all over the map. It confounds me. Barrow is a liberal trial lawyer from Harvard at heart. The new 12th is a sensible conservative district… Barrow drew a week opponent last time around and somehow campaigned as if he were a Republican conservative from OUTSIDE Washington, DC even though he had been there for a decade….
