The Macon Telegraph is now McCanlessless following their publisher (George McCanless’) resignation today.

According to a Macon Telegraph story, McCanless will serve as President & CEO of United Way of Central Georgia. He joined the paper in 2008.

Now if the paper is looking for someone sophistical with newspaper experience, business acumen and from middle(ish) Georgia, I know just the guy.

You scared me half to death, with that headline. The publisher is leaving, not any of the editors. (As far as I know.)

It happens to the best of us. Yesterday, I almost called Jim Marshall ‘Congressman.’

Someone please go back in time and tell Bill Simon that the headline change on this article did not change the permalink.
