There’s a benefit on Monday night for Walter “Chase” Jones. He’s been a legislative aide for Rep. Bob Smith, and a state employee since 2008, serving as a budget aide and most recently with the Georgia Public Safety Training Center.
Last August, Chase suffered a spinal cord injury as a result of a diving accident. He remains hospitalized at the Shepard Center for in-patient rehabilitation as his injuries have left him paralyzed from the sternum down.
Chase has many friends throughout all levels of the Georgia’s government/capitol community who understand that his costs will far exceed the benefits of medical insurance. As such, there will be a benefit Monday night at Wysteria in Atlanta for those who wish to contribute. Please join Appropriations Chairman Rep. Terry England and appropriations Vice-Chairwoman Rep. Penny Houston for the event. The cost to attend is $125 per person. State Reps Mickey Channell and Butch Parish will be the celebrity bartenders for the evening. Thanks to Margie Coggins, Nick deJong, and Michele and Wesley Dunn for hosting this event.
When: Monday, November 5th
Time: 5:00-6:30 PM
Please RSVP to [email protected]
For those who cannot attend, you may make checks payable to the Chase Jones Health and Wellness Trust, P.O. Box 7948, Atlanta, GA 30357.
We hope to see you Monday night.
