Drove his Chevy (government bailed-out vehicle) to the levy (a tax on property) but the levy was dry (all the money was spent).

Good ol’ boys (NTTAWWT) drinking whiskey and rye (thanks to Sundaysales), singing… this’ll be the day that I die (emo Pye), this’ll be the day I die (Dude, got to quit listening to that hipster emo crap).

Doug Deal October 22, 2012 at 2:16 pm

Too bad that’s all I can remember of the song.

Doug, for ten years we’ve been on our own, but moss grows flat on a rolling stone.

for ten years we’ve been on our own (Libertarians lead a very loney life once they convert)
but moss grows flat* (Jason lost a lot of weight) on a rolling stone (All Libertarians want is to be stoned).

* i think that should be fat, but it works either way.

SallyForth October 22, 2012 at 5:43 pm

Good work, Doug. And I think it is “flat” – on a rolling stone, squashing it flat?

Doug Deal October 22, 2012 at 6:39 pm

That is the quintessential hear what you want to hear song, almost as much as “Blinded by the Light”. Still trying to figure out what “wrapped up like a douche, another ruler in the knight” means.

SallyForth October 22, 2012 at 9:50 pm

LOL! This one is a major anything-you-want also. I always belt out “another runner in the night” with no clue why.

Lea Thrace October 22, 2012 at 11:48 pm

The lyric is “revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night…”

SallyForth October 23, 2012 at 2:54 pm

Aw, Lea, we were having such fun with fantasy and you went and threw facts at us. You’ll never make a politician.

Lea Thrace October 23, 2012 at 4:24 pm

Dammit. There goes my dream of being Cobb County Dog Catcher. :-D

Calypso October 23, 2012 at 4:29 pm

SallyForth has pull in Cobb County, he’ll take care of your dog-catching fantasies for you.

Andre October 22, 2012 at 2:36 pm

Might I suggest Gordon Biersch in midtown. They have a room upstairs for such a gathering.

Harry October 22, 2012 at 2:55 pm

That’s a pretty big room. Can the PPers fill it to the brim? They’ll have to knock down a few brewskies in there.

SallyForth October 22, 2012 at 4:13 pm

How about the Brick Store Pub on the Courthouse Square in Decatur? Then we can just throw any PPers who over-indulge onto MARTA.

griftdrift October 23, 2012 at 9:37 am

MARTA? After dark? Peach Pundit commenters? Will we be hunting unicorns too?

SallyForth October 23, 2012 at 2:55 pm

Prolly be a few out that night.

Ed October 23, 2012 at 10:11 am

Depending on the location I will be there. Maybe.

Charlie October 23, 2012 at 10:30 am

Before I get this locked in can you tell me the locations where you would be a “no”?

Calypso October 23, 2012 at 10:31 am

:)

Ed October 23, 2012 at 10:45 am

Places I would DEFINITELY NOT SHOW UP TO UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES:

Augustine’s
Six Feet Under on Memorial (NOT THE ONE ON 13TH. IF IT IS THAT ONE I WILL BE THERE)
Republic Social House
Tin Lizzy’s on Memorial

AGAIN–THOSE ARE PLACES I WOULD NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER GO TO.

Ed October 23, 2012 at 10:45 am

I really am the master of reverse psychology–or am I?

SallyForth October 23, 2012 at 2:57 pm

Ed, all I know is that Calypso stole your avatar.

Calypso October 23, 2012 at 4:29 pm

Not ‘stole’, I temporarily borrowed it, to pay homage to Ed.
