Two Opportunities See Me In Person This Week

It’s a bi-partisan week for speaking engagements.

Tuesday night I’ll be on a panel (giving the “Republican Response”) hosted by the Red Clay Democrats along with Dr. Alan Abromowitz of Emory, Dr. Charles Bullock of the University of Georgia, and House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams.  The panel will be moderated by USC Gamecock Aaron Sheinin.

The discussion will focus on the November election, nationally and in Georgia.  We’ll also look ahead to the next few election cycles and what we can expect going forward.

The event will be held at the offices of Arnall Golden Gregory beginning at 6:30, with a happy hour following at the Yard House.  To Register for the event (Required, Space is limited and almost at capacity), click here.

On Thursday night, I’ll be returning to familiar territory and will be with my friends at the Spalding County GOP.   Doors open at 6:30.  I will begin speaking somewhere around 7:00.  I will choose the topic at random approximately 7:02pm.  Location is Spalding County GOP headquarters, 119 South Hill Street in scenic Griffin Georgia.

  1. bird says:

Charlie–I hope you use this opportunity (i.e., your entire time allotment) to explain Agenda 21 and why it is the single greatest threat to US sovereignty, captialism and democracy.

Many Democrats are ignorant about this looming menace.

  2. Ed says:

Now I know where not to be which is almost as important as knowing where TO be.

I think Shakespeare wrote something about that.

  3. saltycracker says:

Well those of us in the pits at PP hope you use some of the speaker/panel $25k and up fees to upgrade the site, starting with modify, spell check, improved “recent comment” or are you selling out to greed, limo’s and cocktail parties ?

  4. I Miss the 90s says:

They must have been scraping the bottom of the barrel if you are the conservative on a panel with Abramowitz and Bullock, Chuck.

They are in a totally different league than you.

Let me give you some advice…they are not going to be wrong and you are a blog journalist. In other words, they know the science and you have opinions.

Remember, Romney will likely lose the election, debates mean very little, most of Romney’s votes will really be anti-Obama votes, voter id laws are not anti-fraud measures they are voter suppression measures, and economic improvement in the year leading up to an election is more important than the actual state of the economy on election day.
