When people ask who you are voting for this November, most will say Mitt Romney or Barack Obama. But only the Presidential Electors will actually vote for the candidates if chosen by us, the voters.

Mitt Romney’s campaign team has named the 16 Electors from Georgia.  They are:

Theresa Chappell

Randy Evans

Sue Everhart

Darryl Galloway

Linda Herren

Kathy Hildebrand

Jimmy Ho

Anne Lewis

Kelly Loeffler

Bob Mayzes

Toria Morgan

Chip Pearson

Sonny Perdue

Frank Strickland

Eric Tanenblatt

And last, but certainly not least, Julianne Thompson

Congrats to all, whom I would be willing to bet large sums of money that they get to cast votes at the electoral college.

I’m surprised that Sonny still has pull in the party.

Listen, I was never a fan of Perdue’s, but he was the first Republican governor since Reconstruction. I think it’s reasonable to name him as an elector.

Which is exactly why we (the GAGOP Executive Committee) elected him as an elector.

Oh, I get the symbolism. It just seemed to me that naming Sonny was a bit much given the new-found concern about ethical lapses among gopers. I guess it’s all yesterday’s news.

Sonny was barely a Republican when he ran for governor. He only switched parties in 1998, and that was because he was p.o.’d that the Senate Dem caucus wouldn’t bend to his every desire. Excuse me if I continue to question a person who was only a Republican for 12 of the 30+ years he served in public positions.

I used to refer to Sonny as the ‘last dem governor elected in GA’, but then we got Deal.

Actually, I have it on good word that they all will really vote for Ron Paul when the time comes.

Depends if RP throws enough cash Sonny’s way

Got to give Eric props though. He has been tirelessly supporting Mitt for five years.
