Apparently February 3d was “Golden Retriever Day” and I didn’t realize it till late last night. Goldens make great dogs for Republicans. President Gerald Ford had one, named Liberty. And though I have a sneaking suspicion that most of them are “Yellow Dog Democrats,” they enhance any suburban McMansion.
The photo above is Henry, who came to us from Adopt A Golden Atlanta, whom we support and from whom our next Golden will most likely be adopted. A lifelong Republican, Henry died on November 8, 2011, election day.
Adopt A Golden is a worthy charity if you’re interested in donating, and you could find no better place to adopt a rescued Golden Retriever, or the occasional Great Pyrenees. You can also check them out on Facebook, where many of their adoptive families posted photos of their Goldens.

Good info . Golden’s have been our family choice of breed over generations. They are a piece of work going through their terrible two’s. They are all demanding Democrats by nature.

Ok then try coming home at 1 AM, the results will be the same but maybe the outcome won’t be as drastic
And at 1 am, the dog doesn’t care where you’ve been.
