Rumors Have Steve Tarvin Out Of GA-14 Race

Conversation out of Northwest Georgia today is that Chickamauga Councilman Steve Tarvin will not be challenging Tom Graves for the newly drawn 14th Congressional district. Tarvin had previously indicated that a re-match of the 2010 races was probably in order.

Former Libertarian and Congressman Bob Barr is still said to be closely eyeing a challenge.

Tarvin, meanwhile, is likely not done with politics. Having met him quite a few times during the 2010 cycle (and having had the occasional conversation since), I would say he’s a man still looking to implement some TEA party style reforms at some level. My guess is that level may now be a bit closer to home, perhaps in Atlanta.

NO RUMOR CHARLIE-I contacted my Congressman Tom Graves last evening to inform him that I will NOT seek the District 14th District seat.

i agree with Doug. A run for State Senate would be my choice. You a probably one of the only one with the resources. We need someone with your principles in that slot.
