New ad from Austin Scott

Here is the latest ad from Austin Scott:

It looks like outside groups that have spent $414,514 in support of Marshall have given up on his prospects for re-election. Speculation arose last week that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) was pulling out of the district, even though they’ve only spent about $9,000.

While there has been some skepticism cast on Landmark’s polling by commenters, the tea leaves indicate that there is something here and that Marshall is likely done.

  1. Or maybe the DCCC thinks it’s dollars will go farther elsewhere. Marshall has been keeping pace with Scott, NRCC, Scott/NRCC, American Future Fund, Center for Individual Freedom etc.

Really if people see 20+ tv ads for each side, is the DCCC’s 10 extra per week really going to swing any votes?

    • Doug Grammer says:

If there were enough persuadable votes, they would. Scott’s already looking like he already has 50% +1 in the bag. If it were 45% to 45%, you would see those extra 10 ads.

  2. slyram says:

I wish Marshall had a better rapport with the Democrat Party and the White House because his military experience before and during his congressional service could be useful in the Pentagon after this election defeat.

  3. aoburns says:

Thats a good tough ad. He’s toast but at least he has a nice $250 – $500k job waiting for him out there somewhere. have a nice life.
