Fulton County GOP takes on County Commission Dems with new ad

H/T to Scott Henry at Creative Loafing.

Meanwhile, another day passes with no formal investigation into the allegations concerning malfeasance with certain Fulton County Commissioners and their successful efforts to shutter the Office of Professional Standards days after it was discovered that some of their friends were under investigation.

I wonder if John Eaves still thinks our…very…lives depend on his reelection?

Anybody got any ideas about the outcome here? I’ve got a funny feeling things will end up like they usually do, but who knows? I thought Lee Morris had a real chance in 2006, but alas, I was young and did not realize that Mr. Morris was the second coming of Bull Connor. Perhaps the weirdest/ worst thing is compared to some of the other folks on the Fulton County Commission, Pitts and Eaves look like Ronald Reagan. I know some of the folks on here probably think Creative Loafing isn’t worth using as toilet paper, but the work they’ve done on this one is outstanding.

That background music at the end of the video…. where do I know it from?
I’ve heard it somewhere else recently and it’s driving me crazy that I can’t place it.

  3. Mike Hauncho says:

Steve and Lori are two of the best candidates to run for these seats. Thanks to the political climate this year they actually have a chance. Unfortunately, it is going to take a huge turnout in N. Fulton to tighten this race up. Atlanta is in a bubble and is not feeling the Republican wave that the rest of the state is. Fulton county is broken and everyone knows it. Sadly, it has nothing to do with Washington DC.
