Deal won the backing of the state division of the National Federation of Independent Business, which says it represents 7,000 businesses in Georgia.
He received the support as he stood with local small business owners and employees of Yates-Astro Termite and Pest Control.
The federation’s state director, David Raynor, praised Deal’s economic proposals and his record as a former congressman.
“Nathan Deal has shown us that he clearly understands the challenges facing our small business owners, their employees and their families,” Raynor said. “The record shows he’s been a true and consistent advocate of small business.
