Bishop, Barrow vote to send Congress home

If Sanford Bishop and John Barrow support extending tax cuts for all income earners, why did they vote for the adjournment resolution that sent the House home yesterday, punting this vote to a lame duck session? I understand that they are eventually going to take this up, along with 20 other bills, but it’ll be after the election when there is a lot less pressure to do the right thing.

Kudos to Jim Marshall for voting the right way on this.

I’m curious as well about the Republican Members who didn’t vote. Where were they? Assuming they would have voted against adjournment, the House would have been forced to take up the tax cuts now.

As for Barrow and Bishop, we can only suppose that they support raising taxes.
