The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has an in-depth look at the members of Georgia’s congressional delegation, such as how they vote, attendance, cost-effectiveness of their office, pork their bringing home, etc.
You can look at the database put together by the AJC here.

Didn’t realize the National Beer Wholesalers like Hank Johnson so much.
I believe their distribution center is in the district
They like Lynn, too.
It is a little amazing that some of these so-called conservatives, like Kingston, pride themselves in being one of the top porkers in Congress. Washington is truly a delusional world.
If you want to bring home massive amounts of bacon to your district, then fine, but you can’t consider yourself a fiscal conservative as well.
Macho is the best armchair politician in the state.
The member measuring contest that occurs by the amount of legislation you’ve had pass is also ridiculous. If our country went to infinity, would the U.S. Code run to infinity as well? Do we ever get to a point with law where, paraphrasing William Buckley, we just yell stop?
It will not stop until technology and social issues become stagnant, and it doesn’t look like that will ever happen.
Interesting…
“If there were an attendance award, Democratic Rep. David Scott of Atlanta would be the winner, missing just a little over 1 percent of all votes this session, while Deal — even before he resigned in March — had one of the worst voting records, missing 25 percent of all votes, according to congressional records.”
I hope Deal has a better attendance record if he becomes Governor. There is no excuse for missing 25% of you votes. Your only purpose as a congressman is to be the voice of your constituents. He has failed at this.
Which with that record of missing 25 percent of the votes, will he miss 25 percent of his duties if he should be elected ….I can’t even say the word.
Too bad they didn’t cover the period of “since elected” or at least, since last elected…. everyone knows these guys become mostly partisan hacks during election years… but at least it’s something.
