Eric should have done the right thing. Nathan would have been the first to step up for him had the roles been reversed.
Is the right thing make some back-room, I’ll support you if you support me “deal,” or is it supporting the best candidates.
I guess the burning is question is was there REALLY an agreement or an assumption? There is a difference.
Maybe Eric is channeling Bill Clinton: “It depends on what the meaning of the word is…is.” I’m sure there was an agreement, but I believe Eric is trying to parse the word “support.”

EJ is a statesmen, always looking to do the best thing for the party and the state before his own personal desires.
