  1. B Balz says:

Rick Collum reminds me of Timothy Olyphant in the hit show “Justified” and I like his Law and Order approach. I think that insurance fraud runs rampant in GA. Fires seem to consume businesses almost with uncanny timing relative to bankruptcy…. I’m just sayin’…

  2. Technocrat says:

Industrial Fires are minor compared to falsely claiming residential hail damage on insurance!

  3. godspeed says:

I guess there is not much of a surprise here. I figured that it would be between Harp and Purcell. Both have had the most presence in my area.

Every time I’ve met Gerry Purcell, I found him to be very personable and pleasant. He’s certainly a nice guy, but I don’t want him to be Insurance Commissioner. A lot of his speeches to me have seemed like broad talking points (free market, Reagan, etc), and the fact that in the Insurance Comm. debate he didn’t know about specific policies affecting insurance in Georgia reinforces the notion that he’s not particularly knowledgeable on the real issues.

      • GARepublican2010 says:

Hate to double post, but I forgot to mention that it seems like he has a much broader idea of the powers of the office than actually exists. Obviously attacking Obamacare is popular (and for good reason), but I don’t think he realizes the limits of what he can do about Obamacare.
