Boyd Out

Ray Boyd, who refused to sign the GOP oath and claimed he would make an independent run for Governor has decided to call it quits.

To all those who believe in my cause,
The purpose of this e-mail is to inform you that my quest to be governor of Georgia is over effective today. My quest to make a positive difference for my home state and for my country has not waned one bit. The “fire in the belly” burns as strongly as ever. I will simply invest my time, energy, and funds in other ways to help insure that our children and their children will continue to have the same opportunity to enjoy the freedoms that were past down to us by our forefathers.
Men and women have given, and are giving today, their lives in foreign lands to preserve our freedoms. Unfortunately, there are men and women today in our country and in our government who are working just as hard to take away the freedoms vested in We The People and vest them solely in a “changed” Federal Government. We The People have never allowed a foreign threat to take our freedoms. We cannot now let a domestic threat use our own governmental institutions to accomplish with catastrophic debt and entitlements what others could not do with guns. (Please watch this 1948 cartoon. The snake oil (ism) salesman has an uncanny resemblance to Mr. Obama. –
Words alone are not sufficient to convey to each of you who were so supportive of my efforts how appreciative I am. I am stopping today out of respect for your efforts in getting signatures for the petition drive. A report yesterday from a company I had hired to reach the goal revealed the futility of continuing. The last thing I want to do is waste anyone’s valuable time so I have stopped before the deadline arrives. There is good news to report to you, but not today. I have been gathering information on a Plan “B” which will be as good or maybe better than Plan “A”. Please stay energized. Help is on the way.
Again, my heartfelt thanks.
Ray Boyd

GOP Sock Puppets rejoice, one less spoiler in the general election!

The most onerous ballot access rules in the country claim another victim. The D and R monopoly on running for office continues unabated.

  2. Doug Deal says:

He could delcare as a write-in and just try to get enough signatures to force a runoff. Then use his power as the ousted 3rd man to negotiate for his endorsement to get a promiss for one thing or another.

What will ZazaPachulia do? This is the second candidate for governor who has bailed on her.

Sorry, I couldn’t help but laugh out loud over your post. She may need help over this one.
