Jason Thompson Suspends House Campaign; To Work Full Time On National Issues

Jason Thompson is leaving the race for House District 98 (Gwinnett County). His wife has been one of the key organizers of the Tea Party Movement, and Jason has decided to work on the National Election Law Team for the Tea Party Patriots full time.

The Press release is as follows:

Suwanee, GA – Gwinnett attorney Jason Thompson announced today he will suspend his campaign for State House to lead the National Election Law Team for Tea Party Patriots. Thompson has served on the election law team for the Georgia Republican Party and practices election and constitutional law as part of his practice.

Thompson stated, “Starting today, I am officially suspending my campaign for State House District 98. My family and I have given this a lot of thought and prayerful consideration. We are at a crossroads in America, and at this pivotal time in history, I believe I can make the biggest difference working nationally on election law and ballot security for Tea Party Patriots for the midterm elections.

I am appreciative, humbled, and greatly blessed to have had the endorsements of so many of our Republican leaders here in Georgia. I am deeply thankful for the outpouring of support from the people of District 98. I have every intention of running for office in the future, but in the mean time, I will still be working for people of District 98, as well as all Americans by working for the conservative cause nationwide to preserve liberty for future generations.”
