UGA Law Republicans to Host GOP Attorney General Forum, U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson

Press Release from the UGA Law Republicans:

(Athens) – April is going to be a busy month for the University of Georgia School of Law Republicans!

On Thursday, April 1st, the club will hold a debate between Mr. Sam Olens and Mr. Max Wood, the two leading candidates for the Republican nomination for Georgia Attorney General.

Mr. Olens currently serves as the Chairman of the Cobb County Commission. Mr. Wood is a former Air Force Judge Advocate General and served as the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia until 2009.

The event will take place in Law School Room A (UGA North Campus). It will begin at 12:30 PM and should conclude by 1:30. A light lunch will be served.

One week later, on April 8th, the organization will have the honor of hosting United States Senator Johnny Isakson. Senator Isakson will discuss Obamacare and other current events. He will be speaking in the Walker Room (4thFloor Rusk Hall, North Campus) at 4:00 PM.

The University of Georgia Law Republicans consists of conservative and libertarian students at the University of Georgia School of Law. The organization, which was founded in 2008, has grown rapidly and now boasts an active membership of over one hundred students.

The group has hosted several GOP Gubernatorial candidates, Republican lawyers, and legal scholars.  Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich addressed the Law Republicans last spring.

    I think Max will cleanup here. He clearly has the track record and resume to be our next Attorney General.

    Sam Olens has the experience and background to be a great Attorney General. It will be interesting to see how he does in this debate.
