Yes. It keeps going back and forth until both chambers agree to the same text. Which is the current Republican plan and maybe the plan of a few Democrats. Absent agreement on a reconciliation bill, the Senate bill is the final bill (for now).

And even if reconciliation passes, I expect more changes will come after the election on the cost side. For now, no one in the (D) side is going to want to spend more capital on this.

Sorry for the off subject post above. So what does the Dental Assoc. think about this bill? Are they mad because they didn’t get a piece of the pie?
If a new US government decided to place a federal healthcare monitoring facility, in the former Senator’s District, would he run to the podium and take a picture for the press in support?

So if the senate bill gets changed does that mean it goes back to the house and we are going to without a rep? Does that mean even in the unlikely occurance that it only takes 215?

Always a runoff – OCGA § 21-2-501 No chance a Democrat gets elected in that district.

Unless, maybe, 40 Republicans run with 2 Democrats on the ballot, and the runoff has both Democrats. For all intents and purposes, an impossible scenario.

Is there a runoff? I’ve read the Governor’s writ and it is not mentioned. I’ve read the code section the Governor’s writ cites. 21-2-543. The code section doesn’t mention a runoff.

Anyone? A Dem got 25% of the vote in ’08. If the GOP is badly split…
