Rep. Tom Graves announced the JOBS Act on January 28, 2010. He was joined at the press conference by Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, Senate President Pro-Temp Tommie Williams, Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers and many other state senators and representatives

On February 18, 2010, the Small Business and Job Creation subcommittee unanimously passed the JOBS Act out of committee, earning support from both Republicans and Democrats

When the JOBS Act was favorably reported out of the committee, it then was sent to the Rule Committee to be placed on the calendar for consideration by the full House of Representatives.

Last week without warning, the JOBS Act became stuck in the Rules Committee by House Majority Leader Jerry Keen.

Call Rep. Jerry Keen and tell him to let the JOBS Act out of the rules committee and let the full House of Representatives vote on it. Ask him why he is holding up a vote on the JOBS Act.

Club for Growth may not like Governor Crist because he thinks the stimulus bill was a good idea and “the right thing to do.”

There were quite a few conservative economist who supported the surplus. But I know that’s apostasy. But even if I agreed with you to a point, Jason, the bottom line is you and the Club for Growth would throw away all other issues, everything for a man who kowtows to the theocrats. Sacrifice all other liberties for the sacred and sometimes vaporous economic liberty.

Perhaps, but why should someone be sent to Washington that is going to vote for more debt? Surely, the pragmatic side of you understands that is what Crist will do under the umbrella of “bipartisanship.” In the longer term, it guarantees substantial tax hikes.

Yes, Jason he raised taxes. The year after the largest tax cut in Florida history. Maybe that does net zero. Maybe not. We’ll see.

I know anyone who has ever raised taxes wears a scarlet T with the “if you tax at all you can’t be a real conservative” crowd. It just serves as a reminder to me that under that irrational ideology, Reagan would have been primaried.

$9.3 billion over five years. The $2.2 billion was just for FY 2009, the longer term budget impact is not measured, but it probably does away with most of his five tax cut.

I agree that it is a good bill, in fact I think it is a gret bill . It got my attention last year, and one of the reasons I was glad to see Graves run for Congress. I think we need more leaders like him on the national level. When the Hawkins supporter on here this morning was attacking the JOBS bill, I just wanted to see if his candidate of choice had voted for the very bill he was on here criticizing.
